What do Pearl Thusi, Minnie Dlamini, Nandi Mngoma, Chiano Sky and Pharrel Williams have in common, well for one thing the girls are not appearing as ‘video chicks’ in the musician’s music video.
But the four women have rather been hand-picked by Pharrel as part of the ‘Are You With Us?’ campaign.
The ladies are in London to shoot a television commercial for the campaign, which its key message is keeping the planet alive through environmental sustainability. Earlier this year Pharrel teamed up with retailer Woolworths as the style director for the company’s educational and environmental campaign.
And since education is at the forefront of youth issues the campaign is more about the Woolworths group’s drive to raise 100 million for social development and education in the country.
The countries young ‘It girls’ have taken to social media such as Twitter and Instagram to post snaps of themselves showing that they’re having a blast at work and play.
Meanwhile Big Concerts announced the concert dates for the Grammy award-winning musician and producer Pharrel performances in South Africa. He is set to perform in Cape Town on 21 September at Grand West Grand Arena and in Johannesburg on 24 September at The Dome. Tickets are on sale at www.bigconcerts.com.
