The latest mobile launch from Apple, the iPhone SE, made its debut in March 2016. The iPhone SE (Special Edition) is the latest 4 inch phone from tech giant Apple.
The phone is smaller, so it’s much more compact and has an aluminium body, so you don’t lose the premium appeal.
This phone, which weighs just 113 grams, is the cheapest iPhone available without a contract. Offered in a range of colours, like Silver, space grey, gold and rose gold, the iPhone SE has the same design as the iPhone 5, but has a faster processor.
The A9 chip on this handset puts it on par with the iPhone 6, while it also has 2GB of RAM.
With a slim build and its compact size, the iPhone SE is easy to handle with one hand. It has a fingerprint scanner on the Home button, while the Touch ID it offers is not as fast as the iPhone 6S.
One thing that might work against the new Apple iPhone is that it only has two storage facility options: 16GB and 64Gb. This shouldn’t be a problem if you’re a first-time smartphone buyer, but if you enjoy using the phone’s 4K video capabilities, a shortage of space might become an issue.
The 1.2 megapixel front camera will be a major let-down for selfie-lovers.
The 12 megapixel rear sensor camera on the other hand, offers almost the same experience as the iPhone 6 but with the addition if Live Photos. The phone has the same resolution as the iPhone 5S, at 1336 x 640. With a pixel density of 326 ppi, you don’t have to worry about blurry images.
With faster 4G and LTE capabilities, the new Apple iPhone supports Apple Pay.
