PwC has an extensive bursary scheme which covers a portion of tuition fees, accommodation and books.
One of the conditions of qualifying for PwC bursaries is that when you complete your studies successfully you will be required to work for PwC on a training contract.
Who qualifies for PwC Bursaries?
Have leadership skills with a strong personality. The bursaries are also open to students studying or intending to study towards:
- BCom Accounting
- BCompt
- Bachelor of Accountancy
- Business Science degree
The students should be studying towards a qualification as a Chartered Accountant at any SAICA-accredited South African university.
You should also be a South African citizen with a valid ID number. PwC Bursaries are looking for exceptional young people who are unusually talented. You should have great analytical skills and have excellent skills with numbers.
As a first year student, you should be passing with an average of at least 65%. As a second year student, your average should be at least 60%, while as a 3rd or 4th year student you should be passing with an average of at least 55%.
The closing date for the Eastern Cape is 31 October 2016 and students in the Gauteng region have until 31 December 2016 to apply.
