Last night, awards season officially kicked off with the 72nd Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Amy Adams, Gina Rodriguez, J.K. Simmons and Matt Bomer were among the stars who took home trophies. A three hour long ceremony, whose main theme seemed to be social justice; from remembering Charlie Hebdo, to Margaret Cho’s jab at North Korea and speeches honouring the LGBTI community the Golden Globes Awards honoured the best in film and television of 2014.
The best part of the show however, had to be the beginning with the hosts’ – Tina Fey and Amy Poehler – monologue. The pair made a number of hilarious jokes about the scandal with The Interview, including the mandatory celebrity burns.
We’ve put together the full list of winners at the 72nd annual awards show, on Sunday. Winners are in bold.
