Worried about losing unused expired data, giant mobile network company; MTN has a facility called ‘sharing package’ – a system that allows consumers to send unused data bundles to up to 20 MTN subscribers.
The strategy enables consumers to use the bundle for SIM enabled devices such as 3G modems, tablets or dongles.
Larry Annetts, a chief marketing officer at MTN South Africa said, “MTN realized that many customers do not consume all of the data that MTN provides in their packages.”
Annetts said that expiration of the acquired data bundles will not be changed by the activation of the MTN Data Share. This initiative will benefit consumers who have more than one MTN linked devices, that way they are able to share data from a smartphone to tablet or modem.
The package is also benefits parents who have kids that consume so much data with their devices; Data provides control flexibility to handle your accounts and the fulfillment and approval of sharing the benefits of your package with your loved ones.MTN structured the package in such a way that it can be transferred to other devices but within the limitation period of the bundle.
