Alien: Covenant is an upcoming American Science Fiction horror film directed by acclaimed director Ridley Scott.
The film is a sequel to 2012 film Prometheus and is the sixth installment overall in the Alien film series.
The film stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Demian Bichir, Callie Hernandez, Amy Seimetz and Carmen Ejojo.
Director Scott told The Wrap that all aliens would be back in the film, including “egg, face-hugger, chest-burster, then the big boy”.
The characters in Alien: Covenant will explore the planet where the engineers came from and come across the evolving creature that they had made.
Bound for a remote planet o the far-side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant find what they believe to be an uncharted paradise. What the crew discover is a dark, dangerous world, inhabited by the “synthetic” David, the sole survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition and monstrous creatures that are hunting them. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
Fans can expect a new type of alien creature to appear in the film, referred to as neomorphs.

Scott has admitted that he will be bringing back versions of the monsters that premiered in the 1979 original film.
The film is also set get a sequel in September 2017 – in book form. Titan Books have announced that they’ll be publishing a novelisation of the film.
Variety has reported that Fox Innovation Lab has been hard at work on an Alien: Covenant virtual reality experience. The team worked closely with Ridley Scott to create “a dread-inducing journey into the depths of the Alien universe.”
Scheduled for a 9 May 2017 release, principal photography on the film began in New Zealand on April 14, 2017 and wrapped on July 19, 2016.
