Consider yourself a bookworm? Or maybe not, ignite your passion for reading by spending a day surrounded by books at The South African Book Fair.
The book fair attracts more than 250 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. The fair was established in 2006, at the time when the Harare book Fair, the biggest and most successful could not continue. The Publishers Association of South Africa (PASA) stepped in in order to keep the momentum and establish another book fair that would fill the gap.
It’s held for the first time in Johannesburg and promises an exciting literary programme that will feature book launches and signings, author interviews and discussions, poetry readings, literary workshops and forums, exhibitions and displays, and an exciting children’s zone.
Venue: Turbine Hall at eclectic Newtown.
