Just like Cell C, Vodacom allows its consumers to borrow airtime in advance and repay it upon topping up. Vodacom is a mobile communications network provider with over 55 million subscribers in its clientele base.
How it works
The facility only works for Vodacom subscribers who are able to request airtime worth R10 from their network provider; this airtime can only be deducted upon recharging. To borrow more airtime, subscribers should repay the borrowed airtime before borrowing again.
How to qualify
To qualify for this borrowing initiative, a subscriber should have been on the Vodacom network for a period of 12 months or longer, they must have recharged with a minimum of R29 a month over the previous six months and must have completed the RICA process. To find out if they qualify for this service, clients simply dial *111*082#.
Worth noting is the fact that the service charges a fee of R1 for every R10 advance airtime landed to them. Meanwhile, if a “Please call me” facility is not working, clients are able to make a call in a pinch.
