Named after the United States chain F. W. Woolworth Company, Woolworths provides an international service whose credit card enables its esteemed clients to do their shopping in over 20 million outlets around the world.
Founded by Max Sonnenberg and assisted by his son Richard and Fred Kossuth, Woolworths is a family business empire, it has therefore endeavored to provide additional cards for family members at no additional cost and everything paid for with these cards.
“For as long as the account is paid in full before due date, you won’t pay any interest,” says Woolworths.
It adds, “The budget facility on the credit card allows clients to make larger purchases on limited finances and the repayment period rages from 6 months to 60 months.”
Woolworths, supported by a firm belief that while making profits drives the business, it also dedicates itself to serve the community in partnership with clients.
Woolworths which owns stores like Dan Murph’s, BWS and Cellarmasters, raises over R1 million per month for schools and charities around the country. Clients especially those accessing credit become charitable partners in the humanitarian efforts.
The Woolworths credit card is not just a credit card but a door to quality, convenience and service.
The Woolworths brand incorporates a series of food stores, some which are attached to department stores, while others stand alone or are attached to Engen petrol stations in prosperous urban areas.
