The 57th Annual Grammy Awards isa lot of firsts for Ariana Grande who is not only a first time Grammy nominee but is also set to hit the stage as a first time performer at the awards ceremony taking place on February 8at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
The pint sized star who started off as an actress on kids TVhas gained much success as a musician known to belt out an epic singing voice that has been compared to musician, Mariah Carey.
But Ariana is not the only ace up the Grammy’s sleeve, asother high profile singers billed to perform live at the awards show ceremony include American country music singer-songwriter, Eric Church, Grammy veteran Madonna and Ed Shereen and although the show typically splashed with entertaining acts from honoured guests. It has been said that, ‘never before has the stage seen as many popular stars as this’.
Madonna who was the first performer announced for the upcoming awards hasbeen knownover the yearsfor reinventing both her music and image, and maintaining her independence within the recording industry.The queen of pop is definitely no stranger to the Grammy’sas this year will be her fifth time taking to the stage. She is a seven-time Grammy Award winner and last year performed on the show with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
While English songwriter and musician, Ed Shereen is a three time Grammy nominee with this year’s award ceremony as his second studio album titled X is nominated for Album of the Year. The three-time Grammy nominee last performed on the show in 2013 in a duet with Elton John for his single The A Team.
The Grammys is an award show ceremony which recognises some of the greatest achievements in music for 2014.
