Chinese manufacturer Hisense has released a quality mid-range smartphone in the form of the Hisense Infinity Elegance. Although some people may be sceptical about a smartphone that costs less than R4000, the device lives up to its name and offers true elegance.
What does the Hisense Infinity Elegance have to offer?
With an aluminium body, the device sits well in the hand and has a subtle curve for added comfortability.
With a large 5.5 inch screen, the phone has full HD resolution and a 44ppi pixel display. Content on the screen looks sharp and crisp. It also has a nifty feature that allows users to make the screen smaller when they choose to.
The device comes with a dual nano SIM Slot and space for a MicroSD expandable storage.
The phone comes standard with a 13MP camera at the back as well as a 5MP front-facing camera. Its functionality can be improved by adjusting the capture settings by launching the Pro mode.
The sizeable 3000mAh battery lasts a full day while the device is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor which facilitates smooth performance.

Although slightly inconsistent, the phone has a fingerprint sensor. It also comes with 4G LTE functionality. The Qualcomm 430 processor installed means that the phone can run even the most demanding apps with ease and has download speeds of up to 150Mbps over LTE. The phone isn’t sluggish or underpowered during performance. Transferring data is also made seamless with Bluetooth 4.1.
