One event definitely not to miss is a chance for a family outing that allows you to step back into the time with creatures who ruled earth about 20 000 years ago through the Ice Age Exhibition.
An exhibition originally from Argentina has been shipped across the seas to South Africa so that you and your children through life size models can behold, get up close and personal with long extinct creatures such as the Dodo bird, visit a virtual aquarium and experience a real feel of swimming among sea creatures such as the prehistoric whales or take a photo with the sabre tooth tiger.
Moms can take a breather also, by allowing their little ones to partake in many activities apart from the main exhibitions that include a merry go round for children 4-7 years and three play areas which include interactive games of competing jigsaw puzzles on computer screens, memory games and colour in of realistic pictures of ice age creatures to take home.
Family fun and learning to be had at the exhibition, which runs from Monday to Friday from 9 am-7 pm, and on weekends from 9 am-8 pm.
Tickets booked through Computicket and cost R99 for children, R145 for adults while children under 18 months or less than 83cm tall enter for free.
