Music, Classic And Orchestral.
The University of Johannesburg will on 16 October 2017 host the Johannesburg Brass Quintet. The event is courtesy of the institution’s department of Arts and Culture.
Presented by UJ Arts & Culture (a division of FADA), Johannesburg Brass Quintet are a collection of principal brass performers from Gauteng Orchestras comprising two cornets, euphonium, trombone and tuba. The veteran artists have a collection of 80 years of collective experience performing in Gauteng and around South Africa. Their music is designed to educate, entertain and inform.
The members of this group are on a constant search for brand new music written by young and established South African composers to continue world class compositions so as to motivate and draw young composers into writing for brass instrumentalists.

The group has played at various well-known South African venues namely the Houghton Christmas Market, Arbor Village in Bedfordview and many others.
