Connection amongst companies is highly encouraged thereby giving such businesses the opportunity to put themselves on the map. This has been made possible by a website that maps start-ups in Cape Town – Mapped in Cape Town.
The website kicked off last year on the 7th of October thereby allowing start-ups and service providers to discover each other and work with other small businesses in the city.
Rowan Polovin, the founder of Mapped in Cape Town says, “The website is intended to promote the idea of a business cluster, providing people that work in close proximity to each other the opportunity to find each other and work together.”
The ecosystem becomes better if the map becomes denser.
The website has its target on service providers which benefit the needs of startups such as tax and legal services and even the location of Wi-Fi hotspots and co-working spaces.
The website so far has 191 companies, 31 services, and seven investors.
