With a military-grade build, the LG V20 has been described as “the most feature-packed smartphone of the year”.
The smartphone, which has drop-friendly qualities, weighs about 174g, making it lighter than its predecessor, the LG V10.
At 5.7 inches, the screen is quite large and it’s covered in Gorilla Glass 4. What makes this phone unique by most standards is the second screen that is reserved for notifications, launching your favourite apps and showing the time and date. This of course, is in addition to the removable battery it offers.
The first phone with Android Nougat pre-installed, the LG V20 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset and it has 4GB of RAM.
On the LG V20, the designers of the mobile have combined the fingerprint sensor and power button into one. It’s quite similar to Apple’s Touch ID-enabled home button.
The phone has a 16MP main camera sensor and 8MP wide-angle camera. It also has audiophile-grade hardware, while keeping the 3.5 mm jack. It can be found at the bottom of the handset and features alongside a USB-C charge port.
What works for the LG V 20?
The device offers premium performance as well as excellent audio quality.
It has a 3200mAh battery, along with a combination SIM/microSD slot, along users to expand storage. The 64GB of storage is generally enough for most people.
It works fast and smoothly. There are no lags when switching between apps or when browsing.
Pictures taken using the LG V20 are sharp and clear, but the phone does struggle with low light images. On the plus side, the phone has a lot of camera and editing tools and has 4K video capture capabilities.
With the numerous features offered, the LG V20 offers good value for money on the mid-range smartphone market.
