Music, fun, camping and a whole lot of togetherness is what Rocking the Daisies is all about. This year marks its tenth birthday edition.
Patrons of the festival have been known to walk from Cape Town to get to the festival or cycle by way of applying to do so, and also driving by carpool, which is about an hour’s drive. No under 18’s or glass allowed and booze is only allowed in the camping area of this festival, known to keep it green through its many environmental awards and sorting through and recycling all of the garbage when the festival goers who are prompted to clean after themselves have left.
There’s a food village to feed your hungry stomachs, a Daisy Den for girls only pampering needs, The Green village a place to sit back and recover from the night before and a Trader’s Market where you can find all your festival basics, such as sunglasses, wigs, hat and jewellery.
