Being a pensioner has its benefits, after years of hard work to ensure stability and comfort of one’s family; it’s finally time to enjoy one’s golden years. However there are some down sides to being a pensioner, like needing financial assistance but no financial institution assists a person without permanent employment. This is where Iemas Financial Services comes to the rescue with the offer of financial home loan assistance specifically designed for pensioners.
Iemas offers pension-backed loans to clients in order to assist them financially. However these loans are for Iemas members who also share in the annual member benefit allocation. These loans can be used to renovate or build a home, buy a stand/land or materials to erect a house, build a garage or add an extra room to existing property or even deposit a new house. Iemas pension-backed loans also accommodate applications for building in rural areas.
In order to apply for an Iemas pension-backed loan, clients need to submit a certified copy of their ID, latest payslip, one month’s bank statement, proof of residence and an income tax statement or IRP5 document. Clients must also have sufficient pension/provident fund available as it offers security for their loan. Depending on what the client needs the money for, Iemas also requires clients to submit a building material quotation, an offer to purchase or proof of home ownership.
With the Iemas pension-backed loan clients also get Free Home Assist benefits of up to R2 000 per annum per policy. The policy is for home emergencies and covers fixtures and fittings to a nominated address. Iemas arranges an appropriate repairer who is paid a call-out fee and one hour’s labour, thereafter normal rates apply and are payable by the client. The policy offers clients peace of mind should their home be in a potential life threatening condition or there is probable cause to the structural damage of the property.
Clients must bear in mind that approval of their applications depends on their individual affordability assessments, screenings and qualifying criteria for each product.
