Feel hip to be squared at the Geek Fest, which is a day just for the nerdy gaming type bought to you by Dark Carnival.
Don’t forget to bring the whole family and man’s best friend, your pets as it will be a day of costume competition, pet parade, beer garden, Robo-wars, geek quiz, prizes, flea market, outdoor movie screening, face painting and kids play area.
The fest starts at 10am till late, R80 gets you in or book through www.webtickets.co.za and its free for kids under 12.
This year the event is epic on its own but the biggest draw card has to be the Xbox One video game – Mortal Kombat X Tournament, which first match begins at 11am, come out and play in the tournament, as well as the many other games, which include Cosplay (competition and ball), board games, a Zombie Run and quirky stuff to investigate.
